Fishing for Giant Halibut in Alaska

Just another day showin ya How We Do here in Alaska. Clients are getting nice eaters of halibut on their trip into Cook Inlet. These are the best tasteing of all halibut. Throw back all those trophies man. You guys are KILLING the next GENERATION of fish.
A beautiful day in Kodiak Alaska. Thanks to Chris Fiala of Kodiak Island Charters 907 486-5380 for a fun day on the water. Also along is Ken Newman of Runamuck Charters 907 486-3802 and his doggy, Stasha. Returning to town we had a great view of the blue moon over the lights of Kodiak.

Dan and I flew up to Alaska for a boys fishing trip. We drove to Seward and boarded the Saltwater Safari ‘Legend’ with Captain Steve for an all day trip fishing for silvers and halibut. We were fishing somewhere near Montague Island in about 200 feet of water.

this is a video of a 170lb halibut caught on a ninilchik saltwater charters boat and these guys really know what there doing. there guys have caught the best, biggest, most consistent amount of fish in the last 10 years in alaska.
